Residential Water Treatment
Water treatment for residential premises
As well as commercial properties, Guardian Water Treatment provides water treatment services in residential settings – from individual houses to large blocks of flats. We can support landlords, letting agents, local authorities and housing associations in order to keep their properties safe and efficient.
With an expert team on hand, we are equipped to help those responsible to meet the requirements of Approved Code of Practice L8 2013 – The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems (ACoP L8). As well as adhering to ACoP L8, we are also concerned with protecting tenants, maintaining the quality of drinking water and mitigating the cost and reputation damage associated with poor water hygiene.
We have the skills and experience to consult on all types of residential buildings, and can offer pre-commissioning cleaning, legionella risk assessments, water treatment and ongoing system maintenance, right from the construction stage. As well as using traditional chemical dosing, Guardian offers a non-chemical alternative: Advance Oxidation Technology (AOT).
For closed systems in particular, we work with certified partner, Hevasure, to deliver real-time 24/7 monitoring, which could help landlords in residential flats save money on repairs and breakdown, while reducing the need for sampling which can be inaccurate, long-winded and expensive.
GuardianCare for residential clients
All Guardian Water Treatment clients are able to access GuardianCare; an online reporting system that enables users to view all paper work relating to a specific site in real-time. This means that there is no more waiting for certificates or engineers’ work sheets to arrive in the post. Documents can be printed as and when they are needed.
All Guardian’s water treatment engineers are CRB checked and are trained to deal with tenants, and the often be sensitive situations that can arise.
Air hygiene for residential flats
In order to keep blocks of flats sanitary and safe for the occupants, great care needs to be taken to keep air systems clean.
Heating and ventilation systems, air handling and air conditioning units all pose risks if they are not maintained properly. Bacteria, allergens and unwanted particles can build up within the system and affect both the efficiency and safe running of the plant, as well as posing health risks to occupants, contributing to a phenomenon known as ‘Sick Building Syndrome’ (SBS).
At Guardian we provide comprehensive air hygiene services which help to keep air clean, thus combating SBS and ensuring reliant plant works at its optimum.
