Open circuit cooling systems require simultaneous control of many aspects, such as:
- Conductivity (and hence Total Dissolved Solids)
- REDOX potential
- Pre-bleed of system water
- Timed additions of biocides, including the secondary biocides & any alternating biocides in use.
- Data logging and BMS interface
Our latest in microprocessor based controllers which monitor the physical condition of the system water, adjust the system settings as changes occur. In conjunction with controlling system water quality, the controllers automatically control the operation of chemical dosing pumps, making additions to the system when appropriate.
Domestic water systems infected with high levels of bacterial infections such as pseudomonas and Legionella can be treated on line with extremely efficient biocides such as chlorine dioxide, which is effective as a biofilm remover. Chlorine dioxide has the benefit of approval for use in potable water and is therefore useful where the water supply is for drinking water or associated with any food preparation.
