Introduction
This integrated unit has been specifically designed to work with diluted sodium
chlorite and hydro-chloric acid.
The Process
The process combines the safe and well proven vacuum technology with the accuracy
of dosing pumps even at the smallest flow rates. The process sequence is the
following:
1) motive water flows through the ejector in order to keep the unit under vacuum
conditions.
2) a vacuum switch sends the start signal to the dosing pumps.
3) pumps feed the reagents, 8.5% hydrochloric acid and 7.5% sodium chlorite,
into the reactor with a 1:1 dosing ratio.
4) ClO2 solution is then injected in the motive water stream where an additional
dilution is performed before the dosing point.
