Biocidal Disinfection

A thorough internal disinfection by means of applying an EPA approved low toxicity chlorine based mist, through frequently installed access ports from a pressurised sprayer or fogging machine. The fine mist disperses into the air flow and covers the internal surfaces.

The disinfection process is designed to kill microbiological and fungal growth within the ductwork system.

During disinfection it should be ensured that all personnel that are in the area being serviced by the system are kept at least 3 metres away from all diffusers and grilles. Where this is not possible the grilles should be sealed.

It is recommended that the access point should be located every 10 metres or less to ensure even dispersion of the chlorine based fog throughout the system.

It is recommended that all services be cleaned before disinfection takes place. A cleaning Certificate shall be issued upon completion and payment of works.
