Pre-Comm Cleaning/BSRIA

Pre-Comm Cleaning/BSRIA

Modern water systems need to have the highest level of cleanliness prior to commissioning and operation. System contaminants, if not removed at the pre-commission cleaning stage, can result in a system performing below optimum levels. Guardian offers a fully comprehensive pre-commission cleaning service in accordance with the current BSRIA application notes, the industry recognised best practice control.
Our programme will usually follow the below methodology:

System Review

A fully trained Guardian consultant will visit the site prior to our attendance for pre-commission procedures. They will liaise with the site project manager and ensure the adequate provision of flushing points, water for flushing procedures and foul sewage drainage points. If required these can be illustrated on the system drawings for installation by mechanical fitters. A site specific method statement will then be provided for approval. At this time a water discharge license will be applied for from the relevant water authority. This is now a legal requirement when discharging large amounts of water with added chemicals through the foul sewer.

Also, a sample from the water to be used for the flushing procedure will be taken. This sample will be sent for full chemical analysis and test for TUV, NRB, SRB & Pseudomonas.

When the results are received a decision can then be taken on the processes to be followed.
